ABOUT MIRROR TECH DAYS 2008
nmOptics and SPIE are pleased to host the 2008 MTD conference at the Albuquerque Hyatt Regency. Last year this conference attracted over 40 companies, 8 Government optics program managers and 125+ attendees for 2½ days of presentations on current Federal optical programs including: optical systems, materials, coatings, optical testing, fabrication, micro optics, grazing incidence mirrors and membrane mirrors. 94% of 2007 attendees rated the conference as excellent or very good.
HOTEL RESERVATIONS We encourage you to make your hotel reservations (click-throughs at the right) as soon as you can. We only have a small block of rooms reserved at these prices. Normal hotel rate is $139/nite. The Hotel is the Hyatt Regency Downtown, 330 Tijeras NW, phone 505-842-1234. Underground hotel parking is available for hotel guests at $8/night. Day parking is $12. Parking is a little cheaper in nearby municipal lots. If you wish to make hotel reservations by phone, call 800-233-1234 and tell them it's for the New Mexico Optics Association event August 25-27.

There will be a reception immediatley following the last presentation and will last until 7PM. We will have a reception key note speaker. Tuesday, August 26 (Public session) Light breakfast available at 7:30AM. Conference begins at 8:00, plated lunch 12-1PM, conference ends at 4:30PM Wednesday, August 27 (EXPORT CONTROL SESSION) Light breakfast available at 7:30AM. Are you attending Wednesday's Export Control/ITAR session?
All conference attendees planning to attend the export control/ITAR session must complete a visit request form verifying U.S. citizenship or U.S. permanent resident status. A PDF copy of the visit request form is posted on this webpage along with an example completed form. Multiple attendees may be certified on one form. The clearance and social security number sections of the form are not required and should not be completed. Once the form is filled out, the company facility security office or a corporate officer (president, vice president, etc. when no facility security officer is present) must sign verifying U.S. citizenship or U.S. permanent resident status. U.S. permanent residents must also provide a copy of their permanent resident card. The completed and signed form shall be faxed to (505) 846-7877. Completed forms must be received by COB 22 August. At the conference, each attendee must present a valid government issued picture identification card to gain access to the session. Valid U.S. passports may also be presented at the conference to gain entrance to the session and in this case, no visit request form is required. The visit request form verification method is preferred.
